Working with the National Gallery of Iceland, as both physical structure and institution, the project blends the imagined with the real. Through the creation a new, temporary entrance, Icelandic animals are invited into the Museum alongside with the building’s regular visitors.

As response to a children’s workshop where participants imagined houses for animals through small paper models, the Gallery is perceived as a house for animals in life size. Arriving from from air, land and sea, the structure is formed in the absurd meeting between the needs of the fictional visitors and the architecture of the museum.

The structure was made from 2 types of reclaimed shuttering boards, which were returned for reuse after the show.
